History
Boilermakers Local 203 - Newfoundland and Labrador
Boilermakers' Local 203 received its charter on July 7, 1969 from the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers as a Construction Lodge in the Jurisdiction of the province of Newfoundland & Labrador, Canada.
On May 26, 1997 the Industrial Training Centre was established for Welding and Safety Training. The training centre is used by members and non-members to upgrade skills and proper safety practices for working in the field.
Our members are qualified in both Boilermaker Red Seal and Welder Red Seal. Boilermakers provide apprenticeship training leading up to Red Seal Certification and journeyman upgrading.
Recent work project sites include Hebron Project in Bull Arm - GBS, Vale Incorporated in Long Harbour - Fabrication, Tata Steel Mining Site,, Hydro Generating Plant in Holyrood - maintenance, Oil Refinery in Come By Chance - Tanks, and Muskrat Falls in Labrador - Turbines.
Local 203 Lodge is Located in the community of Holyrood with a current membership of approximately 500 members.
